This is my favorite♥ in the Rock 'n' Roll circus
album, and the Tour at 2010 was also one of the bests in Ayu's singing career.
Audience can view so many fascinating settings in one show: the whirling stage
at《Microphone》,
the opera-like《BALLAD》, the electronic 《Lady
Dynamite》, also
I like the petit off-key from Ayu at the escalated 《Surreal》…
just making the LIVE more lively! J

《 Don’t look back》this whole song is not “rock” nor “Ballad” in theme, but just exotic and mysterious.
The prelude of it can bring you to an Arabic market.《INSPIRE》(2004)
is also in an exotic tone, but in a more bouncy way…at least you can see in the
《INSPIRE》PV
Ayu she is having a stroll around NYC, dancing at the seashore and splashing
the seawater, kind of motivating and positive(Happy~).
However, compared to《INSPIRE》, in the《Don’t
look back》PV,
the atmosphere is more depressed and strained…..and here is the Allure. [Actually
Ayu sang both songs consecutively in Tour 2010] (^(エ)^)"
I like watching the R’n’R Tour
2010 too, again thinking it was an epic one from Ayu, but it brings me sadness
in the way that when thinking of the year followed is the POWER OF MUSIC, happened
due to the 311 earthquake and tremendous losses. How could this Tour be so
happy...and then all of a sudden the bad things came next to Japan? It just
puzzled me. I have the POM tour too, and I seldom watch it. It is quite dragging
by emotion. But the Tour really did unit the stage, the singer, the dancers,
and the audience all together in a powerful and strong way. I appreciated that.
Back to《Don’t
look back》PV,
it is similar to《Ourselves》 in the way Ayu is destroying herself to announce a future. In《Ourselves》, the
bi-locations of Ayu are tearing down the “A Best” album; and in 《Don’t look back》,
Ayu used a red lipstick to make graffiti on her “A Best 2” album cover. (I was
thinking whether is there an “A Best 3” coming? Rightaway).

The show house
there is so modern and exquisite; it must cost over 4 million HKD for a home
like this in Hong Kong (started off-topic…). Anyway, in the desolated and
cheerless area, Ayu looked like an abandoned mistress, sitting on a chair and mourning
for all good old days.

In the “Making of 《Don’t
look back》” video,
Ayu originally intended to wear another chiffon girly dress at the narration role(standing
and post in front of the broken poster). In a second when she stepped in, Ayu
felt that the costume was not matching, so then unwavering-ly left and changed
to a pencil sharp dress (LOL). It does feel much better to pair with her bob
hair, also the dead neat and tidy style.
All the beauty and fancy lay superficially, the twist comes as (!!!
I LOVE TWIST PLOTS IN ALL FICTIONS AND FILMS! Just like the movie SAW it was epic!)
the other side of Ayu turned out to be pitiful to watch. The climax really
matches the song title and theme;
(started wild guess…this song’s meaning:
everybody has the weakest point of its past life, I knew no other one can bear
with it, so I could only be the one who to face it on my own….if you come and embrace
this “part of me”, I would be happy to be supported.)
