Ayu's best 10 PVs- 7.《Marionette》

《Marionette》, 2008.

Youtube version(Official, 1.5 minutes):

(」・ω・)」I have to state it again:
I really like those creepy and eye catchy things for entertainment.

Not horrible, no ghost or bloody hell....but creepy, to make me focus right on the plot.

Ayu played a brainless doll role for few times, such as Surreal, Alterna, Beautiful fighters.....and this one. Each time she is able to break through it(smile:) Most Ayu's songs talk about love and freedom, this one is about freedom.

As plain as its song title suggested, in this PV, Ayu acts as a marionette tied by a music box, and she is trying to break it through. I thought it was Rococo, but the setting is actually in "aristocratic European♥" style (information from Wikipedia).

Together with another dancers wearing white contact lens, Ayu performs quite a number of uncontrolled, involuntary body movement like a cerebral palsy outbreak(sorry Ayu! this is what a science graduate can conclude...).....or should it be named a "spring- dance" (I invented this word, again), I find it quite fascinating all the way through. (๑・ิ⋖⋗・ิ๑)

The marionettes are set free from their restraints from the half way, and so as their contact lenses break(They look possessed in those lenses!). The mistress(another Ayu's role) looks at her dolls and walks away.

The message of this song is simple too. Important messages are always cliché, simple as they are being. Try to be yourself, and keep being yourself. Choose what you love, and love what you have chosen. When you are pursuing your dream: you may get hurt, you may not even be able to see a beam of light, you may just want to give up...but this is you. If you just be true to yourself, you feel alive.

That is what I always bear in mind when myself struggle through life, and cannot yet land on my feet. Six years from now, but I still remember the thrill when I first heard this song(The Japanese in this song is easy, just knew the word at the beginning).

Stay hungry, stay alive. You only get one shot.
.....Must be a stunning one shot :)

I watched Ayu's tour at Hong Kong 2008 too!!
(flower)

It was her 10 anniversary(Tour of Guilty)...and the PV setting was re-visualized on the stage in the fabulous show. This one on Youtube was in Taipei. The same song list had been using during the Tour.
